Mission
Through innovative programming and strategic partnerships in the public and private sectors, the Urban Impact Community Fund strives to improve the quality of life for York County families through urban renewal projects that provide safe recreation spaces as well as services and educational opportunities that allow children to thrive and achieve their full potential from birth through college and career.
Vision
Transform the King Street Corridor from Hartley Street to Penn Street to create safe passage for neighborhood youth, provide social services in the area, and change the neighborhood landscape.
Work to align a network of services for students and families in the area that is modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone.
2010-2011 Goals
- Convene a consortium of public and private entities with vested interests in the King Street Corridor to coordinate efforts to transform the area.
- Partner with private and public entities to host volunteer driven urban renewal/restoration projects in the King Street Corridor.
- Raise funds to provide scholarships to York City Students.
- Raise funds to support the renewal and transformation of the King Street Corridor.
- Create and maintain a Major Gifts program that courts and obtains donors for recurring and substantial gifts.
